Quentin Alcorn (Engr ’16 L/M) of Richmond, Virginia, died June 15, 2015. At the University, he studied chemical engineering, volunteered with Madison House and was president of Theta Chi fraternity. Mr. Alcorn was a member of Boy Scout Troop 400 in Richmond, where he was senior patrol leader and an Eagle Scout who enjoyed lending a hand and taking on various challenges. He loved the outdoors and took trips to hike Mount Rainier, sail on Fishing Bay and fly fish on the headwaters of Atlantic Creek. He also volunteered as a wrestling coach at St. Christopher’s School in Richmond and at Albemarle High School. He was a quiet, natural leader with many friends. Survivors include his mother and father, Peter S. Alcorn (Engr ’81 L/M); a brother; and two grandfathers.
