Marjorie Fox Fortman (Col ’90 CM) of Woodinville, Washington, died May 10, 2023. She earned her bachelor’s in psychology at UVA, where she was a student researcher and a member of Alpha Phi sorority. After earning her master’s degree in psychobiology from Emory University in 1992, she became a researcher at North Carolina State University. She later worked at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute in Ashburn, Virginia. She was an involved member of the wine industry and was a wine educator in Virginia and Washington. She loved reading and running. Survivors include her husband, Pete; two daughters, including Emilie Fortman (Engr ’16 CM); and a brother and sister.
