Lynn Frazier Fall (Engr ’39 L/M) of Arlington, Virginia, died January 4, 2015. He served in the United States Army during World War II, and later in the U.S. Army Reserve, retiring in 1977 with the rank of lieutenant colonel. At the University, Mr. Fall was a member of the Jefferson Society and Trigon Engineering Society. After graduation, he worked at Aberdeen Proving Ground and the Department of the Interior as part of a U.S. Geological Survey team that surveyed the Blue Ridge Parkway. He then became materials engineer for the Department of the Army at the Arsenal Research Center in Watertown, Massachusetts. Mr. Fall and his wife retired in Charlottesville, where he was an active supporter of the University library. Survivors include four nephews, two nieces and numerous grandnieces and grandnephews.
