Neil Snyder of Townville, South Carolina, died May 30, 2023. Born in Columbus, Georgia, he attended the University of Georgia, where he earned his Ph.D. in strategic management. He taught leadership and strategy at UVA’s McIntire School of Commerce for 25 years. He retired from UVA in 2004 and became the Ralph A. Beeton professor emeritus at UVA. He enjoyed skiing, fishing, and traveling, especially to Israel. More recently, his favorite activities were daily walks with his wife and neighbors, watching Georgia football, and visits with his granddaughter. He also enjoyed writing on his blog and was the author of several books, including His Name Is Yahweh. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Kathleen L. Snyder (Educ class of ’00), two daughters, a sister, a brother, a granddaughter, and multiple nieces and nephews.
