Cuong Mai (Engr ’97) of Fairfax and Centreville, Virginia, died Dec. 21, 2015. At the University, he was a member of the Myo Sim Karate and Self-Defense Club. Mr. Mai worked as a contractor with the Drug Enforcement Administration. He later became a business manager for Robbins Gioia and worked as a project manager for the Department of Homeland Security’s OneNet. A native of Vietnam who emigrated to the United States with his family at age 8, he took pride in serving his country as a civilian employee of the U.S. government. His friends and family knew him as a caring and loving individual. Survivors include his wife and two sons.

Peter Schedler (Engr ’98) of New York, New York, died Dec. 12, 2015. At the University, he was a member of Phi Kappa Psi fraternity. After graduation, he was an investment banking analyst for J.P. Morgan & Co. Mr. Schedler went on to integrate his twin passions for business and music into a career as a senior executive for Live Nation, Warner Music Group, Sony/ATV Music Publishing and other firms. He most enjoyed working with artists, songwriters and fan organizations on strategy and finding new business opportunities. He traveled extensively across six continents and was a frequent attendee of music festivals throughout North America. His friends remember his passion and his strong opinions on nearly everything. Survivors include his mother and two brothers.
