Kenneth Decatur Heath (Col ’92 L/M) of New Haven, Conn., died Feb. 9, 2009. After working for the U.S. Department of Defense, he practiced law as a partner at Wiggin and Dana for nearly 10 years.

Geramon W. Vinup (Educ class of ’93) of Fredericksburg, Va., died Jan. 1, 2009. He served in the U.S.  Marine Corps for 30 years, receiving numerous commendations, including a Purple Heart and a Defense Meritorious Service Medal. Mr. Vinup taught high school in Maryland and Virginia.

Erica Lipman Lopez (Col class of ’96) of Fairfax, Va., died April 6, 2008. She was a physical therapist.  Survivors include a brother, Cory F. Lipman (Col class of ’10).

Linda Goolsby Downs (Educ class of ’97) of Roanoke, Va., died March 3, 2009. She taught in Page, Rockbridge,  Culpeper and Madison counties before joining the Buena Vista school system,  where she taught sixth grade and was the library media specialist at Parry McCluer Middle School.

Stacie Diane Everhart (Col class of ’98) of Charlottesville died Jan. 20, 2009. She was an entrepreneur who designed and marketed her custom-made jewelry.

David Stephen Bognaski Jr. (Engr class of ’99) of Suffolk, Va., died Feb. 14, 2009. He was an information technology consultant for Bon Secours Maryview Medical Center.

John Eric Strenski (Col class of ’99) of Baton Rouge, La., died July 31, 2008. He was a writer.
