Edwin Pearson “Buzz” Parker III (Col ’39, Med ’42 L/M) of Washington, D.C., died Sept. 2, 2014. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. At the University, he lived on the Lawn; was a member of the men’s boxing team, Delta Kappa Epsilon fraternity and T.I.L.K.A.; and served on the Honor Committee. Dr. Parker was an internist who made house calls until the day he retired. He practiced medicine at Sibley Memorial Hospital, the Washington Hospital Center and George Washington University Hospital, where he was a professor of internal medicine. Dr. Parker was an avid tennis player. Survivors include his wife, three sons, a daughter, six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and two brothers.
