Satirist Stephen Colbert during an interview on The Colbert Report with Richard Hersh, co-author of We’re Losing Our Minds: Rethinking American Higher Education. Colbert was responding to Hersh’s praise of UVA as a university that “has a very good [liberal arts] program.” Colbert’s wife, Evelyn (Col ’85), is a UVA alumna.
