The cheer “U-V-A, Go Hoos Go!” and the choreographed arm gestures that go with it are fixtures at Cavalier sporting events. A recent phenomenon has freed the arm alphabet from the confines of Scott Stadium and John Paul Jones Arena—students have taken the cheer and run with it, spelling out U-V-A around the country and the world.
