More than two dozen alumni recently returned to Grounds to commemorate their role in desegregating the University of Virginia during the 1950s and ’60s. These trailblazing alumni enjoyed a September weekend of sharing memories and celebrating accomplishments. Events included a panel discussion, a “Slave to Scholar” guided tour about the history of African Americans at U.Va., and a reception at Carr’s Hill.
