The columns look great! I’m not so sure about the entablature and other exterior trim… I suggest that other than the columns, everything else be returned to a shade of white—in most cases with a matte finish, but perhaps glossy for the Chippendale railings. An alternative is for the new attic story to either be left as it is now or else be dual-tone, with either a lighter or (preferably) darker tone inside the panels. Also, the windows(including the lunette in the tympanum) could be stained or painted in a medium/dark wood tone, as at Monticello. These modifications would relieve the visual monotony caused by a lack of contrast between these wood elements and the brick walls, without returning all the way to the very stark contrast of the paint scheme as we knew it in recent decades.
