There is no "s" in Foxfield! It's the Foxfield Races, not the Foxfields Races.
Um, where are the Black students in this? Totally feeling left out. Many of our experiences at the University are hilarious but different than those in this video.
Taylor- I was thinking the same thing too-- not much diversity at all in the clip.
oh and since the pep band is gone- nothing fun about that!
It can, however, be "Foxfield's races" as in they are the host/it is their event, which then gets shortened to "Foxfield's." It's like saying "New Year's (Day)" or "I'm going to Michael's (Bistro)"
Taylor, my sentiments exactly. While this clip is funny and chock full of UVA-isms, I was sad that my experience wasn't captured here. Hate to have to rain on the hard work you put in, but I felt left out, both in the limited casting of people of color and in the limited content that pertained to my University experience.
This was so accurate, great job! The only thing I would have sugggested adding was more discussion of sports
It's just a video put together by a group of friends. It's not a polling of students across Grounds, so it's not supposed to be representative of anything but themselves.
Very clear to me that the students in the video were not theater majors or even theater goers and diction is not important. To be brief, what the hell were they saying and in what language were they speaking?
