Jack Blackburn of Charlottesville died Jan. 20, 2009.  Mr. Blackburn began work in
  U.Va.’s Office of Admission in 1979 and had served as dean of admission since 1985. He received the Thomas Jefferson Award in 2008, the highest honor the University bestows on a member of its community. Survivors include a son, John A. Blackburn Jr. (Col ’91, Grad ’96 L/M). Dorothy Heischman “Dotti” Greene of Charlottesville died Oct. 12, 2008. Ms. Greene worked for the University of Virginia Alumni Association for 25 years. Survivors include her husband, Wayne Gordon Greene (Educ ’53 L/M), and a daughter, Nikki Beyer (Com ’76 L/M).
