Stickwork

Stickwork

Sculptor Patrick Dougherty, known for weaving tree saplings and branches into towering sculptures, is using locally gathered saplings to create a sculpture on Arts Grounds.

The sculpture, to be titled "Stickwork," will be on display for more than a year. Dougherty and his team of volunteers expect to finish the project by Oct.18, 2013.

Dougherty has completed more than 200 projects around the world. View more of his work (and imagine what "Stickwork" might look like when finished) here.
