      <description>Ruth M. Allen (Educ ’68) had a book, The Holy Spirit and the Spirit of Reiki: One Source, One Spirit, published by CreateSpace. The book interconnects theology, science and the practice of Reiki therapy. She received her doctorate degree in curriculum and instruction in 1994 and a master’s degree in theology in 2009. Her research involves cognitive psychology, biology and education and has been selected to be published in international journals, presented in international research conventions, and to be a chapter in a book on international research.</description>

He is a senior partner with Hunton &amp;amp; Williams, where he focuses his practice on corporate law, especially corporate governance, advising publicly held corporations and representing boards of directors and board committees. He recently completed the fourth edition of Goolsby on Virginia Corporations, focusing on corporate statutes and court decisions in Virginia, as well as in Delaware and other jurisdictions.</description>

      <description>John O. Hunnicutt (Engr ’68 L/M) retired in 2005 from DIMON Inc. as vice president administration. He has spent his retirement years volunteering for Boy Scouts of America, where he served as a district chairman and council executive board member, and for the Leukemia &amp;amp; Lymphoma Society. He is also a cycling coach and competes in endurance events. He has completed three Ironman events and was recently named to Team USA for the 2010 Short Course World Duathlon Championships in Edinburgh, Scotland, and the 2010 Long Course Triathlon World Championships in Immenstadt, Germany.</description>

From her platforms as a teacher at the University of Virginia School of Law; as a big&#45;firm lawyer in Washington, D.C.; as a Virginia deputy attorney general under Mary Sue Terry; as town attorney for the town of Orange; and as a solo practitioner in the Orange County town of Rapidan, she has represented paying clients at the highest levels of the private and public sectors.</description>

      <description>John L. Nau III (Col ’68 L/M) is chairman of the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation. In October, he and former First Lady Laura Bush received the John H. Chafee Trustees Award for Outstanding Achievement in Public Policy from the National Trust for Historic Preservation for their leadership in developing and promoting the Preserve America program. The National Trust presented the award at its 2009 National Preservation Conference in Nashville, Tenn. The former longtime chairman of the Texas Historical Commission, Mr. Nau was appointed chairman of the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation by President George W. Bush in 2001. Along with Mrs. Bush, Mr. Nau is credited with guiding the widespread and influential preservation initiative with the Preserve America program.</description>

Norris (Grad ’68, ’71), a professor at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, is chair of its Department of Public Policy and director of the Maryland Institute for Policy Analysis and Research.&amp;nbsp; Mr. Norris is a specialist in public management; urban politics; and the application, uses and impacts of information technology, including e&#45;government, in public organizations. He has authored, edited or co&#45;edited seven books, contributed chapters to 22 others, published 27 articles and four book reviews in journals in the fields of public administration and urban affairs, authored and co&#45;authored more than 60 research reports and monographs and over 50 scholarly papers. He has consulted with local and state governments for more than 30 years in a range of areas, including public policy and management and has also produced and directed two films for local government officials on the adoption of advanced technologies. Mr. Norris lives in Columbia, Md.</description>
