      <title>Birch Jr., Stanley F.</title>

      <description>Stanley F. Birch Jr. (Col ’67 L/M) received the Intellectual Property Legends Award in September from a collaboration of academic and business associations in Atlanta. He has served as a U.S. Circuit Judge for the Eleventh Circuit since 1990. Judge Birch served in the U.S. Army and is a Vietnam War veteran. He practiced law in Gainesville, Ga., and in Atlanta with Vaughan, Davis, Birch &amp;amp; Murphy until he took his oath of office. His practice focused on copyright law in the entertainment and computer software industries. A frequent speaker and author on the law of copyright, Judge Birch has co&#45;authored a book on copyright with the late Professor L. Ray Patterson of the University of Georgia Law School. At the invitation of the Copyright Society of the USA, Judge Birch presented the 36th Annual Donald C. Brace Lecture on the law of copyright in November of 2006 at the New York University School of Law. The Intellectual Property Legends Award is an event hosted by Georgia State University College of Law and Georgia State University J. Mack Robinson College of Business that recognizes individuals who have made contributions to the area of intellectual property, both on the business side and the legal side.</description>

      <description>Pete Dunn (Engr ’67) is a senior systems engineer with Information Technology Engineering Corp., where he supports Raytheon’s global positioning system initiatives. As a retired captain in the U.S. Navy Reserve, Mr. Dunn supports the NROTC candidate screening process in Denver. As associate staff of the Navigators military ministry, he leads Bible studies at Buckley AFB. He also facilitates the Preparedness&#45;for&#45;Life Workshop, helping people prepare for tumultuous times ahead.</description>

      <description>Bruce M. Justice (Arch &#8217;67 L/M) is a fellow of the American Institute of Architects in 2009. During his career, he served as an officer and trustee of the AIA insurance plan, &#8220;AIA Trust&#8221;, from 1985 to 1990; vice chairman and secretary of the Governor&#8217;s Art and Architectural Review Board, Commonwealth of Virginia, from 1998 to 2002; president of AIA Richmond in 2007; and as a member of the board of directors, Virginia Society, AIA, from 2006 to 2007. He worked with his father, the late Charles C. Justice, and his father&#8217;s partner, the late Louis W. Ballou (Arch &#8217;27), a former Alumni Association president, when the Rotunda was restored in 1974&#45;1975.</description>

      <description>Richard V. Robilotti (Grad ’67 L/M) started his 37th year with the U.S. Department of Labor, Office of Workers’ Compensation Programs, in New York. He is deputy commissioner/district director administering an international workers’ compensation program mainly for U.S. government contractors (American and non&#45;American) who were injured or killed in Iraq and Afghanistan as well as in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The LexisNexis Workers’ Compensation Law Center cited Mr. Robilotti in the federal government category of “Workers’ Compensation Notable People in 2008.”</description>
