Allison Chamberlain Abramson (Col ’04) received a doctorate in epidemiology from Emory University in Atlanta. Her dissertation focused on improving vaccination coverage among pregnant women for influenza and for tetanus, diphtheria and acellular pertussis (Tdap). Ms. Abramson lives in Atlanta with her husband, Adam Abramson (Col ’04), and their children, Libby, 4, and Morris, 2.

Alexander J. Cole (Col ’04) and Kate Jerde Cole (Col ’05) welcomed a daughter, Dylan Hayes, on Sept. 18, 2015. Dylan is the granddaughter of John E. Cole (Arch ’72) and the niece of Elizabeth Cole Cram (Col ’01 L/M). The Coles live in Brooklyn, New York.

Emily Jane Wang Garrahan (Com ’04, Law ’10 L/M) and Andrew Duffield Garrahan (Col ’05, Law ’13) welcomed a son, Henry Francis, on March 26, 2015. Henry joins big brother George. The boys are the nephews of Kevin Joseph Garrahan (Col ’11 L/M), Grace Catharine Garrahan (Col ’16) and the grandsons of Theresa Stivaletti Garrahan (Educ ’79 L/M) and William Francis Garrahan (Col ’79, Darden ’85 L/M).
Melissa Ann Cunningham Goduti (Col ’04 L/M) and Daniel John Goduti (Col ’05 L/M) welcomed a daughter, Eleanor Ann, on April 10, 2015. Eleanor is the niece of Kevin Cunningham (Com ’00 L/M) and Stacy Fleck Cunningham (Com ’00). The family will relocate this summer from Culver, Indiana, to the Philadelphia area, where Mr. Goduti will join the faculty at The Haverford School.
Ariella Hanker (Col ’04) and Lior Klirs (Col ’04) welcomed twins, son Natan Daniel and daughter Sarit Tova, on Nov. 13, 2015. Natan and Sarit join sister Yakira, 3. The family lives in Nashville, Tennessee, where Ms. Hanker is a research scientist at Vanderbilt University and Mr. Klirs works on implementing English and language arts curricula at Great Minds.
Lauda Harmon (Nurs ’04) and Jakob Harmon (Engr ’04, ’11 L/M) welcomed a son, Stephan Somerled, on Feb. 11, 2015. He joins brother Erik. In May 2015, the family relocated from Phoenix to Germantown, Maryland, where Mr. Harmon works for Comtech EF Data.
Colin Hunter (Col ’04 L/M) and his business partner, C. Peyton Jenkins Sr. (Col ’04 L/M), founders of the Alton Lane custom menswear brand, opened their 11th location, on the Charlottesville Downtown Mall, in October 2016. Mr. Hunter, who was an Echols Scholar at the University, is CEO of Alton Lane, and Mr. Jenkins, who was a member of the Honor Council, is vice president. The start-up company, which opened in New York City in 2009, combines 3-D body scanning technology and fabrics from fine European mills to create laser-cut, hand-stitched garments. The appointment-only showroom is at 112 Fourth St. N.E.

Leslie Taylor Lillard (Col ’04 L/M) and her husband, John, welcomed a daughter, Lucille “Lucy” Rose, on Oct. 1, 2015. Lucy joins sister Molly Elizabeth, 5. The family lives in Madison, Virginia.

He works in the firm’s Houston office, where he focuses his practice on complex international arbitration and litigation. Mr. Marlles represents businesses across a wide range of industries, including aviation, finance and energy.
Daniel Mazanec (Law ’04) has joined the Miami office of Greenspoon Marder Law as senior counsel in the litigation practice group. He has more than 10 years of experience representing and advising corporations, financial institutions and entrepreneurs in complex commercial disputes and high-profile litigation matters, including class actions, multidistrict litigation proceedings and cross-border business disputes. Mr. Mazanec previously practiced at an international law firm with offices in Cleveland, New York City and Miami.
Ryan Mooney (Educ ’04 L/M) and Susan Woessner were married on June 6, 2015, in Arcadia, Michigan. The couple lives in Denver.
Joseph Mutschelknaus (Engr ’04 L/M) has been named a partner in the Washington, D.C., law firm Sterne Kessler Goldstein & Fox. He works in the firm’s electronics group, where he prosecutes patent applications and post-issuance proceedings at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Mr. Mutschelknaus has particular expertise in using expedited procedures. In addition, he practices before the patent trial and appeal board of the USPTO.
Donald S. Prudlo (Grad ’04) has released Certain Sainthood: Canonization and the Origins of Papal Infallibility in the Medieval Church (Cornell University Press). The book traces the development of the Catholic doctrine of papal infallibility to the church’s struggle with heresy in the 12th and 13th centuries. Mr. Prudlo is an associate professor of history at Jacksonville State University.
Edward J. “Ned” Sackman (Law ’04) has been appointed to the New Hampshire Board of Bar Examiners. He will serve the rest of a recently retired member’s three-year term, which expires in November 2018. Mr. Sackman is a shareholder in the law firm Bernstein Shur, where he focuses on noncompetition agreements and related litigation. He was named a Rising Star in New England Super Lawyers. Mr. Sackman currently serves on the New Hampshire Federal Courts Advisory Committee and is the chair of the Federal Practice Section of the New Hampshire Bar Association.
