Allison Chamberlain Abramson (Col ’04) received a doctorate in epidemiology from Emory University in Atlanta. Her dissertation focused on improving vaccination coverage among pregnant women for influenza and for tetanus, diphtheria and acellular pertussis (Tdap). Ms. Abramson lives in Atlanta with her husband, Adam Abramson (Col ’04), and their children, Libby, 4, and Morris, 2.

Colin Hunter (Col ’04 L/M) and his business partner, C. Peyton Jenkins Sr. (Col ’04 L/M), founders of the Alton Lane custom menswear brand, opened their 11th location, on the Charlottesville Downtown Mall, in October 2016. Mr. Hunter, who was an Echols Scholar at the University, is CEO of Alton Lane, and Mr. Jenkins, who was a member of the Honor Council, is vice president. The start-up company, which opened in New York City in 2009, combines 3-D body scanning technology and fabrics from fine European mills to create laser-cut, hand-stitched garments. Donald S. Prudlo (Grad ’04) has released Certain Sainthood: Canonization and the Origins of Papal Infallibility in the Medieval Church (Cornell University Press). The book traces the development of the Catholic doctrine of papal infallibility to the church’s struggle with heresy in the 12th and 13th centuries. Mr. Prudlo is an associate professor of history at Jacksonville State University.

He will serve the rest of a recently retired member’s three-year term, which expires in November 2018.
