Black Alumni Weekend

Event draws record crowd

TOPICS: Alumni, Alumni Association, U.Va. Tradition

More than 1,200 members of the University community—alumni, faculty, students and friends—gathered in April for Black Alumni Weekend, making it the largest turnout in the event’s history. In addition to reconnecting with friends, attendees played golf, sampled award-winning wines, attended seminars on topics like wealth management and political action, and danced to the tunes of celebrity performers at the All-Star Party. The event created momentum for this year’s Reunions Weekend, which will be held June 5-7.
